I'm a senior BFA student finishing up my degree, and honestly? Nobody tells you how disorienting this part is.
You spend years learning the language of art — composition, theory, critique, context — and then you're handed a diploma and pointed toward a world that doesn't quite speak that language back. The galleries feel distant. The algorithms feel random. And the question of what kind of artist do you want to be hits different when rent is real and time is finite.
That's why I started Raw Works.
Not because I had it figured out. But because I needed a place to put the work — the real work, the unpolished stuff, the pieces that don't fit neatly into a thesis statement. Raw Works is my answer to the pressure to be perfect before you're ready. It's a studio, a storefront, and a journal all at once.
What 2026 Looks Like From Here
The art world is shifting. AI is everywhere. Attention spans are short. And yet — people still want to feel something. They still hang things on their walls that mean something to them. That hasn't changed.
My goal isn't to compete with the noise. It's to make work that cuts through it. Original canvases, photography prints, digital pieces — each one made with intention, released in limited quantities, and priced honestly.
What's Next
I'm documenting this journey here — the wins, the uncertainty, the process. If you're an emerging artist, a collector, or just someone who believes in supporting real creative work, I'm glad you're here.
This is just the beginning.
